Terms of service

1. What Tayobi is

Tayobi is an online marketplace that connects customers who need roadside assistance with independent service providers. Tayobi does not provide roadside assistance services itself. We are an intermediary platform that facilitates the connection between customers and providers.

2. Not an emergency service

Tayobi is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, on a motorway hard shoulder, or in an emergency situation, call 999 immediately. On motorways, call Highways England on 0300 123 5000. Tayobi should only be used when you are in a safe location and require non-emergency roadside assistance.

3. Customer terms

  • You do not need an account to use Tayobi as a customer. Your job is accessed via a unique link emailed to you.
  • You must provide accurate location and vehicle information.
  • Payment for services is made directly to the provider. Tayobi does not handle payments.
  • By posting a job, you consent to your details (name, approximate location, vehicle info) being shared with providers who may quote on your job.
  • After you accept a quote, your phone number is shared with the accepted provider only.

4. Provider terms

  • Providers are independent contractors, not employees of Tayobi.
  • You must maintain valid insurance and any required licences for the services you offer.
  • You must keep your documents up to date. Expired insurance will result in automatic suspension.
  • You are responsible for the quality and safety of the services you provide.
  • Quotes you submit are binding — you must honour the quoted price.
  • Your ratings and reviews are genuine and cannot be manipulated.

5. Verification

Providers undergo a verification process (ID and insurance check). A "Verified" badge means we have reviewed and confirmed the provider's documents. It does not guarantee the quality of service. We are not liable for the actions, performance, or conduct of providers.

6. Liability

Tayobi acts as an intermediary. We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from the services provided by providers to customers. Disputes about service quality, pricing, or conduct should be resolved directly between the customer and provider. We will assist in mediation where possible.

7. Reviews and ratings

Customers can rate and review providers after job completion. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or violate these terms.

8. Account suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate provider accounts for: expired or invalid insurance, fake reviews, abusive behaviour, failure to honour quotes, or any other violation of these terms.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about a provider or the platform, contact us at support@tayobi.co.uk. We will investigate and respond within 5 working days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
